THR is reporting that Keira is in talks for “Imitation Game“. Thanks to our friend Nicole for the heads up!

Keira Knightley is in talks to star opposite Benedict Cumberbatch in The Imitation Game, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.

Morten Tyldum is directing the indie drama, which sees Black Bear Pictures adapting the book Alan Turing: The Enigma.

Turing (Cumberbatch) was a U.K. mathematician and cryptographer who helped crack the German enigma code during the final years of World War II, helping the Allies to victory. He was later prosecuted by the government for being a homosexual and committed suicide.

Knightley will play a woman from a very conservative background who not only forms a complicated relationship with Turing but is there for him until the end.

Teddy Schwarzman is producing with Nora Grossman and Ido Ostrowsky of Ampersand Pictures.
The budget for the indie is in the $15 million range.

Knightley, repped by CAA and Schiff Co., was last seen starring in Anna Karenina and next co-stars in this fall’s Jack Ryan with Chris Pine.

Deadline is reporting that Keira is in talks for the dark comedy “Laggies”, Anne Hathaway was previously attached to the movie but had to drop out due to schedale conflicts.

Keira Knightley is in negotiations to step into the lead in Lynn Shelton‘s indie dark comedy. Laggies, written by Andrea Siegel, follows a woman who hides out for a week with a 16-year-old (Chloë Grace Moretz) under the pretense of going to a work retreat after her boyfriend proposes. Sam Rockwell is also lined up to co-star. Anne Hathaway was in negotiations to star just last month but scheduling conflicts with Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar forced her to drop out. Steve Golin, Alix Madigan and Rosalie Swedlin will produce Laggies for Anonymous Content. Knightley and Hathaway are repped by CAA.

We normally don’t post gossip on our site, but we wanted to share this happy news with you. Keira and James got married earlier today in France. People Magazine has the story.

The actress, 28, tied the knot with her fiancé of one year, James Righton, in an intimate ceremony at the town hall in Mazan, a small village in Provence, on Saturday.

“It was not a long service,” one witness tells PEOPLE, “and very few people.” The ceremony was performed by the village mayor and “occurred just before noon and lasted only about 30 minutes. Keira looked beautiful. She wore a very pretty, very elegant dress.”

Knightley’s choice for her big day? A strapless tulle dress that came to her knees and a classic Chanel jacket. She skipped into the ceremony in nude flats and her hair down, crowned with daisies.

Deadline is reporting that Keira signed on to CAA.

CAA has just signed Keira Knightley. The actress is coming off the Joe Wright-directed Anna Karenina, and next stars opposite Chris Pine in the franchise reboot Jack Ryan, and in the John Carney-directed Can A Song Save Your Life?

Knightley had been repped by WME. Her longtime agent, Adam Isaacs, recently left the agency to become a manager at The Schiff Company. Isaacs continues to rep her, as manager at Schiff Co., and she’s repped from the UK by Lindy King at United Agents.

Knightley, whose breakout film was Bend It Like Beckham, has starred in films including Love Actually, Pride And Prejudice, Atonement and the Pirates Of The Caribbean franchise.

Keira Knightley has called herself “duplicitous and manipulative,” much like her character from her newest movie, ‘Anna Karenina’.

The 27-year-old British actress told Canadian FLARE magazine: “There are aspects of her [Anna] that I don’t like. Then you go, ‘Am I any better?’

“I am duplicitous and manipulative and all those things. Hopefully that doesn’t define me but they are parts of my personality.”

Keira also said that she is stubborn, but that this trait has helped her against “horrible” paparazzi that used to pester her for photographs while she was drunk.

“When I was young, I was hounded by these hideous men,” she said. “What they wanted was the picture of me falling out of the club. They weren’t going to get that out of me. No, I chose very, very deliberately not to, because I couldn’t bear the idea of giving in to them. It takes stubbornness.”

The US premiere of ‘Anna Karenina’ was forced to be delayed this week due to Hurricane Sandy.
